I love teaching in a classroom; however individual support for a student's needs is something that has become harder and harder to find in traditional classrooms. I am so excited to combine the benefits of a traditional classroom with the benefits of one-on-one support. I know that learning with other students can make a subject more interesting and fun whether or not it is a preferred subject. As concepts and skills get more repetitive or complex, it is much more engaging to work alongside a friend or classmate. In my learning pods, I provide math support designed to meet students' current needs academically and socially while preparing them for their future.

My passion as a paraprofessional is to help equip students with the skills necessary to become more independent in their everyday life. I know each student has their own unique challenges and needs. These challenges can be influenced by cognitive, physical, and social/emotional factors. I believe that building foundational skills is vital for students to build more autonomy and independence.
Executive Functioning Skills
I love helping students to learn executive functioning skills in order to build their confidence and self-esteem.
Building better executive functioning skills allows a student to be able to plan and accomplish specific tasks. I have seen how being able to focus and follow instructions enables a student to thrive academically and socially. While incorporating a students’ unique interests and goals, I create a positive and engaging learning environment.
